Mr. Stuart works in watercolor, acrylic on canvas and mixed media.  Mr. Stuart’s professional background in planning, urban design and architecture informs his work, providing a spatial framework balanced by painterly fusion.  A contemporary example of his work is Redemption Times, a 30 inch by 96 inch triptych that provides a riff on the political and racial divides of our times.   The triptych has structured, linearly spaces containing expressionistic landscapes that provide an examination of the historic continuity of America’s social divides.
